Spring Tire Amnesty Event

April 1-May 5, 2022

Citizens of Madison County will be allowed to bring up to 10 tires at no charge!

Please no rims, or large heavy equipment tires

No businesses allowed

SPRING Into Recycling (held in the spring of each year)

Next Event: April 23rd, 2022 10am-12pm at the Madison County Government Complex

(main entrance)


Join us as we celebrate Earth Day each year and take advantage of the following programs:

Document destruction (up to 2 file boxes free, over 2 boxes @ $5/box)

Medication Take Back (expired medicines in original containers please)

Shoe recycling, clothes recycling, batteries, ink cartridges, cell phone, and books for recycling

Adopt-A-County Road (AACR)--year long event

Renewal applications will be sent in March of each year; New signups are held in March as well

Created for citizens, civic organizations, non-profit organizations, and interested parties to contribute toward the effort of maintaining litter-free roadways

Person(s) agrees to pick up the adopted road/area a minimum of 4 times per year, and report the required information back to KMCB

All garbage from pickups must be disposed of properly, and is free of charge if brought to the Madison County Transfer Station; if you choose to dispose of the garbage at the Transfer Station you will be required to show your AACR Disposal Card before dumping.

Please tarp/secure all loads before transporting garbage to the Transfer Station.

KMCB will be sponsoring a river clean up event in coordination with Madison County's 4-H program. For more information, please contact the Madison County 4-H office at 706-795-2281.


Bring One for the Chipper Christmas Tree Recycling

Next Event: 12/28/22 through 1/7/23


Bring your old, undecorated "live" Christmas tree for recycling and receive a free tree seedling or seed packet
