The Administrative Staff of Madison County is a group of individuals who maintain the daily operations of the County Government as well as facilitate the County's financial and employment needs.

The County Clerks office works directly with the Board of Commissioners to oversee the daily operations of the County. This office also works alongside all departments in the local government to ensure that the County runs as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Duties of the Clerks office are to prepare and maintain meeting agendas and minutes, process open records requests, processing Alcohol Licenses, maintaining the County's Road listing, asset inventory as well as processing all annual reporting to the State of Georgia.

To sell alcoholic beverages in the unincorporated part of Madison County you will need to obtain an Alcohol License. In order to do so you must:
Apply for our jurisdiction through the Georgia Tax Centers Alcohol Licensing Portal.
Process a paper Application in the office once application is done through the state online. (Note: the application for the state must be processed first)
Annual Fingerprinting is required and done through the County's Probate Court. You will process this step on the same day you submit your application in person
Annual Advertisement will be submitted to the county's legal organ, the Madison County Journal.

The Finance Department of Madison County is responsible for maintaining and balancing the County's financial records, preparing documents requested for auditing purposed, maintaining the county's budget, processing payment transactions, maintaining all invoice records, issuing payments and processing county benefits and payroll.

The Human Resource Department of Madison County is responsible for maintaining and processing employee benefits, reviewing applications for employment, maintaining employee records and overseeing the county benefits.
Our Human Resource Director is also our Wellness Coordinator. Working with our insurance companies to provide programs to our employees to keep them healthy and safe.
